Your Medication

At H3 Health, we currently prescribe Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) as part of our doctor-led weight management programme.

Both medications work by helping to regulate your appetite, so you feel fuller for longer and are less likely to overeat. They are designed to support sustainable weight loss alongside healthy eating and lifestyle changes.

During your consultation, your doctor has recommended and prescribed the medication they believe is most suitable for you, taking into account your medical history, treatment goals and clinical assessment.

Your Treatment Timeline

Starting treatment (Months 0–3)

Treatment begins at the recommended starting dose while your body adjusts to the medication. Changes in appetite and feelings of fullness are common. Before each prescription, a doctor will review progress and, if appropriate, gradually increase the dose while healthy eating and lifestyle habits are established. At around three months, you'll have a clinical review to discuss progress, side effects and whether the treatment plan should be adjusted.

Finding the right dose (Months 3–6)

If appropriate, the dose may continue to increase until the best balance of weight loss, appetite control and tolerability is achieved. Not everyone requires the highest dose, and many patients achieve excellent results on lower doses. By this stage, most people have settled into a sustainable routine and are continuing to build healthy habits.

Maintaining your results (Beyond 6 months)

Once a target weight has been reached, many patients continue treatment on the lowest effective dose to help maintain weight loss and reduce the risk of weight regain. Treatment is often continued long term, although the duration varies between individuals. Regular reviews with a doctor will determine whether treatment should be continued, adjusted or stopped.

What to Expect

What results can I expect?

Everyone responds differently to treatment.

Some patients notice changes to their appetite within the first few days, while others may take several weeks to experience the full effects. It's important to be patient and allow your body time to adjust, particularly as your dose gradually increases.

Many patients notice:

  • Feeling less hungry between meals
  • Feeling fuller sooner when eating
  • Reduced food cravings
  • Smaller portion sizes becoming more satisfying
Weight loss expectations

Weight loss varies from person to person and depends on many factors, including your starting weight, lifestyle, activity levels and how your body responds to treatment.

Rather than focusing on weekly changes, we encourage you to look at your progress over several months. Weight loss is rarely linear - it is completely normal to experience weeks where your weight stays the same or fluctuates slightly.

Your doctor will work with you to support steady, sustainable progress and help you achieve realistic long-term goals.
