This time of the year it’s easy to feel lethargic, demotivated and sluggish. In this article in Metro, Dr Jeff Foster gives advice on how to give yourself a boost, by giving yourself a blast of cold water.
‘Initially, a cold shower is a direct physiological shock to the body which causes a rise in heart rate, blood vessels to constrict, a rise in blood pressure and release of stress hormones – this will definitely wake you up,’ says Dr Jeff.
